AVF Group is today pleased to announce it has achieved the coveted three-star carbon neutral status for further reducing their carbon emissions.
In 2008 AVF Group became the world's first mount manufacturer to go carbon neutral, a move that was the first step in a group-wide eco-friendly initiative to reduce and offset carbon emissions produced by the company. This year AVF again worked with Carbon Footprint Ltd to analyse all aspects of their business to calculate the CO2 emitted through product manufacture, distribution, business travel and running offices in the UK and US. The result of the audit found that the eco-initiative has resulted in a drop in energy consumption and carbon output, an achievement that has been recognised with AVF being awarded three-star carbon neutral status.
David Gallimore, Chief Executive of AVF Group, said:
I am once again delighted that AVF has been awarded carbon neutral status, but I'm especially pleased that as a company we have been able to reduce our energy consumption and carbon output over the past year. Our aims now are to continue to reduce our carbon footprint further, and to continue to adopt an eco-friendly approach with the design and manufacture of our products.
